Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri asserts the company is winning two-thirds of contracts from rival Ericsson despite gear flaws.
Suri is convinced in Nokia’s placement and stated the seller is winning contracts”quite handsomely” from 5G networks.
Earlier this month, Nokia manager Federico Guillen said curiosity has increased from operators in states debating the usage of Chinese gear after US-led safety issues. With approximately 42 5G contracts, Nokia has overtaken Huawei (40) and Ericsson (19).
“We contend very favourably with Huawei, with or without the present safety concerns,” Suri said in an interview with Bloomberg TV’s Caroline Hyde on Monday.
Some investors and analysts are worried about flaws in Nokia’s delivery of 5G gear. But, Suri reported a couple of weeks of flaws”isn’t really much” from the context of a 15-20 year cycle.
